Jin
Shin Jyutsu
Jin
Shin Jyutsu is a gentle art from ancient Japanese tradition, which
promotes optimal health and well-being and facilitates our own
profound healing capacity.
Use
of Jin Shin Jyutsu is an innate part of our natural functioning,
when a child sucks his thumb or fingers, when an individual preses
hes fingers to his forehead to concentrate, when you instantly
reach to hold the point of a painful injury - these are a few
examples of the instinctive reflexes which make use of the Jin
Shin Jyutsu concept.
Jin
Shin Jyutsu is applied by a trained practitioner, and as self-help.
It is a gentle art, practiced by placing the fingertips (over
clothing) on designated energy locks, to harmonize and restore
the energy flow. This facilitates the reduction of tension and
stress which accoumulate through normal daily living.
Jin
Shin Jyutsu is a valuable complement to conventional healing methods.
Jin Shin Jyutsu induces relaxation, and greatly reduces the effects
of stress. Stress has been widely recognized as causing everything
from minor aches and pains to chronic health problems. The deep
relaxation derived from Jin Shin brings balance to the body's
energies, allowing the body to function better, feel better and
heal more quickly.
Unlike
other " alternative treatments," Jin Shin is not simply a mechanical
technique. It is an art, a philosophy, an involvement with the
body's total harmony as it relates to well-being. This explains
it's greater complexity, subtlety, and more extensive effects.
Learning
Jin Shin Jyutsu engages one in self-study and self-help. Through
the process of "Now Know Myself," we recognize the wisdom of the
body, and we learn to interpret the messages provided and utilize
them to restore balance.
For
those of us addressing existing stress or health disharmonies,
or for those simply wishing to participate actively in maintaining
health, harmony and well-being, the Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu is
a simple and powerful tool available to all. Jin Shin Jyutsu has
a long history, and a growing following around the world.
